About the Journal

The Journal of Twice-Exceptional Research is an open-access journal dedicated to elevating the voices of 2e students and addressing their qualitatively distinct educational needs by fostering a dialogue between theoretical insights and practical applications. We believe that the intersection of giftedness and disability offers a rich opportunity to challenge traditional educational paradigms and promote inclusivity in education systems worldwide. Our mission is to amplify research that is grounded in equity, strengths-based approaches, and the lived experiences of 2e learners, while providing educators, researchers, and policymakers with actionable strategies to support their success. By bridging academic scholarship and practical innovation, The Journal of Twice-Exceptional Research seeks to be a transformative space that celebrates the diversity and potential of 2e students in all educational settings.

JTER accepts manuscripts only in English. Authors could use either British(-ise) or American(-ize) spelling for their manuscript; however, one style should be used consistently throughout the manuscript.

JTER will be a member of PILA-Crossref (Publishers International Linking Association, Inc.  Crossref) in 2025 and is open access, a non-profit, independent academic journal. 

Publication Frequency: JTER publishes annually 2025 (July).

Registering & Submission: If you are considering submitting your manuscript please send your user details (Name, Surname, e-mail, ORCiD, and Affiliation) to editor@jter.org. Please log in to the journal system and submit your manuscript if registered. Please review the JTER's aim & scope before requesting registration. 

NOTE: JTER does not consider registration requests from anonymous e-mail addresses that cannot be clearly identified. For registration, JTER prefers institutional e-mail addresses.
